The vision of the INSPIRE is to make Georgia State University an international leader and a national resource for government, industry and academia by conducting cutting edge research to address technical and non-technical cybersecurity and privacy challenges we face now and in future, and by providing comprehensive education programs to train students and next generation of researchers.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the INSPIRE is to contribute to the nation's cyber defense research and education needs and improving the cybersecurity posture of the nation. We conduct world-leading research with real-world impact and an emphasis on interdisciplinary initiatives. We train and educate students from diverse backgrounds to help build a strong cybersecurity workforce for government, industry and academia. We provide service and expertise in cybersecurity and privacy to the university, the Greater Atlanta area, Georgia and beyond.
OUR STRATEGIC GOALS
The strategic goals of INSPIRE are to
- raise the profile of Georgia State University regionally, nationally and internationally in cybersecurity and privacy
- identify and address the major technical and non-technical challenges in cybersecurity and privacy that can be addressed with the unique strengths of members and Georgia State University community
- coordinate unique interdisciplinary educational programs to offer quality courses in cybersecurity and privacy from a variety of viewpoints to students leveraging Georgia State University’s strengths as a national leader in graduating students from diverse backgrounds
- become a hub for cybersecurity research and education in Georgia and beyond through interdisciplinary research opportunities and educational programs, outreach activities and industry partnership.
